Sometimes we live in fear of everything. We are worried about our children, our ability to be a good mom and protect them from every crazy thing going on in the world.
But we can’t protect them – only God can.
There are many promises in the Bible to comfort and give godly encouragement for moms. These bible verses for stay at home moms will help you walk in the Spirit and by faith, not in fear.
Encouragement for Overwhelmed Moms
I really wanted to cover bible verses for struggling moms, discouraged moms and stressed moms, just overall the best bible verses for moms. That way this could be a one-stop-shop for encouragement for overwhelmed moms.
It’s kinda hard not to be overwhelmed these days. There is so much bad news or fear being spread. God doesn’t want us to have our minds stayed on that! How will you ever be the mom God has meant for you to be?
He knew you’d be here, with the child(ren) you have, in the situation you find yourself in. This is not a surprise to Him!
So instead of meditating on the situation, meditate on the One who can solve every problem. If you find yourself anxious or overwhelmed this post is here to help you focus on the spiritual reality behind any physical problem.
What does God say about being discouraged?
I have found over the years how easy it is for me to become discouraged. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a SAHM or it’s just a part of my make-up. I do believe that there are certain attacks that SAHMs receive because of our unique position.
It’s a good idea to keep an arsenal of bible verses for stay at home moms so you can be ready for times like now. God wants us to grip onto Him because the attack is real and we are unable to fend for ourselves. Without God’s Word (the Sword of the Spirit) we are left unguarded and easily deceived.
Don’t allow that spirit of depression and overwhelm to come into your life. This is the enemy’s plan y’all, don’t let him in!
I will boldly say that you cannot afford to allow him even an inch into your mind.
God tells us in Romans 12 to renew our minds with His Word. Philippians 4 also tells us the importance of allowing our minds and hearts to be guarded. We are to dwell (set our minds) on godly things, not sorrows. God reminded Joshua to be encouraged. God reminded the Israelites to be courageous. God reminds the church to be of good courage!
He tells us over and again His hand is able to save. He is faithful and will keep His promises. We can trust Him and find our confidence in His good plan. So let’s learn His word so we can go forth in His strength.

Godly Encouragement For Moms
Overcoming hardships, staying level-headed, cheerful and upbeat in stressful situations is all about mindset. This is especially true right now when life seems like an impossible enigma of events. But nothing is impossible for God. He is in charge of our lives, and the world.
If you learn nothing from these bible verses for stay at home moms, step away with this:
God is in control
God knows exactly how your kids will get at you, He allowed them to have certain bents, specifically for your benefit. I know that’s hard to accept but it’s true. And it’s for your good! God has only our good at heart.
We cannot allow the world to shape our reality, it is God who is ultimately in control and shapes our reality. We can trust Him. When we clarify our goals we will know that godly encouragement for moms will always lead us back to the fact that God is making us more like Him.
He uses all of these stresses and trials to mold us into the excellent shape of Jesus Christ. We can rest in this. God is interested in us beyond the superficial. This should allow us to have a lot of rest that God isn’t giving up on us during these times.
Just the opposite is happening.
What is the most encouraging Bible verse?
It’s taken me many years to come to this understanding. Things may not always look good or go the way I originally thought it should. But I’ve come to know that this doesn’t mean God is not in it. Life going smoothly doesn’t equal God working in your life.
God works in our lives in easy times and in the challenging times. There have been a few books that have influenced me in this, but there is an encouraging bible verse that has kept me.
It is Psalm 27:10:
When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.
A similarly encouraging bible verse for mothers, that I would say is the most encouraging verse for mothers (or anyone for that matter) is Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
