Trying to get prepared for life, while you are doing life is probably one of the worst piles of manure that could be handed you in life. It could be worse, but it definitely makes life interesting.
It’s not just making sure you aren’t wasting time or that you finally figure out how to manage your money. The hard part is that you want to be all in with your family but you can’t. You want to stop feeling hopeless and really be a change-maker in your world!
Recently, I had all my kids stand against the wall between our bathroom and my daughter’s bedroom (Click here if you want to see how adorable chibi-cute she is!).
Y’know as they stood there it was very evident that they had all grown in the last 8 months since we last stood there.
It wasn’t until I took the pencil to mark the wall that my heart did a strange flutter. In those moments I realized just how much they had grown. Time was moving. I wanted to make sure I was moving with it.
Do you want to know how to stop standing still? Do you want to change your life for the better?
I’m about to share 3 habits that will allow you to make a change in your life, to switch from few wins into consistent wins!
3 Ways to Change Your Life for the Better
#1 Make Goals
Come on y’all, we can do this! You and I can make goals. We can sit down and review our lives. I don’t mean to mull over the hard stuff and have a pity-party about what we aren’t there yet. I mean review what’s meaningful to you.
Once you review and consider, then you can plan and create what your daily, weekly, yearly goals are. This might take some journaling or even research.

#2 Complete Tasks
We’ve talked pretty extensively on the need for consistency but I must address it a bit here.
Making goals can be a fun task! I mean you are imagining your dreams coming true. But we must be careful to not allow this to just be grown-up pretend playtime. You gotta figure out how to turn your goals into tasks that can be completed.
Then complete them.
Don’t allow yourself to be distracted. I know I can go off in a billion directions easily.
Keep going on your ONE TASK until it’s done then do the next one. You will get such an internal satisfaction from it that you will be motivated to do the next and the next and before you know it, you are achieving your goals!
#3 Develop Confidence
Now if you really want to reach the stars and 1up in life you must accept that you are called to this life, the one you have right now. Yes, the hectic pace, the tantrums, the car rides with screaming babes.
You are able to change your life but without acknowledging where you are, you can never become more. You are not just called to this life but you are qualified for it.
You are able to organize your thoughts, focus on what matters and choose. In the choices you make will be the change you seek. You have to be ok in your own skin before you can go forward making confident choices. Go to the One who made you and ask for direction and confidence!
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. Jeremiah 17:7
Know that He is the One and the only One who will enable you to confidently choose.
