My Amy Knapp Very Busy Planner Review
I love planners, but especially since becoming a mom. At the end of last summer I was able to pick up the Amy Knapp Very Busy Planner. Now that I’ve used it for a few months I wanted to give it a proper review, so you can see if it’s something you should add to your toolbox.

Why I like Amy’s Very Busy Planner
This is probably the best planner I’ve used. Previously, I was in love with Bloom Planners (and they still hold a place in my heart), but this one really does top those. However, I will say that I do still love their weekly schedule spread and this planner doesn’t have anything like that. What the Very Busy Planner does have that I love is beautiful… I mean very creative art pages and tons of journaling type prompts.
As a journaling mama, I just love prompts! Prompting me to think about my goals, my priorities, my friendships, my wishlists, etc., more than makes up for the few things I could find in another planner. At least another planner I’ve found so far. I mean this would have been super helpful to regaining my identity as a mom, if I had it back in the beginning of this journey. Regardless, it does help me to think about who I am in this part of my life.
The planner has all the things you’d like to have in a planner:
A Month-at-a-Glance view
A Week-at-a-Glance view
Daily to-do lists
Monthly Goal Sheet
Stickers for special days
Drawbacks to the Amy Knapp Very Busy Planner
There are 3 things that stick out about the planner that I don’t like. They aren’t big deals but if you are thinking of buying the planner you should know:
#1 There are quotes on most pages.
They are meant to be inspiring, however, because I am a Christian and have a specific belief system, plus I’m a very intentional person, the quotes aren’t always my cup of tea. Nothing vulgar, but just undertones of laziness being ok, every walk of life is ok or mixed up understandings of what the soul is or what it is for. Again, there aren’t many and they aren’t blatant, but just something to be aware of. A few I marked out and a couple I cut out. It’s definitely not anything to make me not buy another one. And for those sensitive Christians, I do not see a specific agenda at hand, just plain worldliness.
#2 There are no Day view pages
The closest you get is the weekly view. This means that the actual space for each day is pretty small. You cannot do block scheduling or anything like that. There simply is no space for a detailed day plan. If you are looking for that I have a great Day Planner Page you can purchase for only $1.99. Choose from Blue or Pink.
#3 Lastly, there are only a few blank pages
And they are in the very back of the planner. With their desire to have beautiful images throughout, there actually isn’t much room for notes and free writing. This tends to be a problem with a pre-set, pre-packaged, bound planner. It’s not my favorite thing. When you think about your weekly to-dos, you may not have enough room or the kind of room you’d like.
Why is a Planner Important
I’ve kinda talked about this before but as a mom, your life is full of all kinds of events. As the kids get older a planner becomes very important to keep everything on track. So you can create goals for your week and your day and get stuff done. I hope this planner will be of help to you in your motherhood journey.
