ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal Review
Have you been looking for a way to start your day with the Lord? It seems there is no time for deep study during this season of motherhood but I hope you find a solution with this Illuminated Scripture Journal review.
A friend and fellow blogger, Danell from FaithplusFamily, had this journal on her Instagram and I immediately wanted it. I have been having a lot of trouble focusing during my Bible time. Plus I love journaling, so why not combine them!

The Illuminated Scripture Journal Review
I bought the journal for the books of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude because that’s what I’ve been studying. These journals are a lot thinner than I thought when I saw it on Amazon. I didn’t take the time to see that this book is 5.75 x 8.00″ and that’s it! But really that’s all that you need. I was less concerned when I actually started to use it. I love that it’s so lightweight and convenient to carry. I can add it to my Bible, Prayer Journal and Study Guide and it seems to not even be there.
The pages are very smooth for any writing tool you’d like to use. I’ve used pens and felt markers and they glide fine. The pages are a cream color and will lay flat with bending.
The layout is simple. The left-side pages are the scriptures and the right-side is blank journaling pages. Which I love! You can draw, writing, copy whatever you’d like, but it helps you to focus on God’s word. I would highly recommend either copying the scripture or writing notes about the scripture. You can draw around your words but make the focus a study of what you’ve just read on the opposite page.
Journal Your Heart Out
This is a charming keepsake and there is a whole set of both the New Testament and the Old Testament. I initially thought this was new but it actually came out late 2018. No matter. Actually that’s all the better so that you can have the whole set at your fingertips. I really would like to collect these and I know you will too.
